Hi!

I have just been introduced to the whole new world of Excel Programming and am required to create a program that allows a user to input his/her data into my program, and the program gives an output on what statistical distribution the data follows.

I was wondering if this was possible? And what other possible methods or suggestions for this?

Should I use VBA? Solver?

The data could follow any distribution. Gamma, Weibull, Normal, Logistics. Just to name a few.

Would really appreciate any help and suggestions!

Thank you! Question

You may try to get a copy of this: http://excel-modeling.com/index_008.htm

It has VBA source code that generates the following distributions:

Log Normal Distribution | Log Pearson Type III Distribution | Normal Distribution
Chi-Square Distribution | F-Distribution | Student-T Distribution | Multivariate Standard Normal Distribution | Gamma Distribution | Beta Distribution | Hypergeometric Distribution | Triangular Distribution | Binomial Distribution

Hi,

Thank you so much for replying. Have you heard of the software EasyFit?
